Introduction
Environmental monitoring is crucial for farm management.
Providing real-time alerts and monitoring various parameters are essential for animal breeders. We will collaborate with external sensor suppliers to develop a monitoring product that consolidates all the data for farm management.

My Role
- Understanding the challenges faced by users, build a prototype to test the usability of the product.
- Collaborating with the development team, implement the testing results to build the wireframes, user flow, design system, and high-fidelity UI.
User Research
Persona
We have received inquiries from breeders of various species regarding their needs for environmental monitoring products. During the process of creating personas, we have discovered that they share similar challenges.

Prototype Testing
I create a prototype to conduct online demo tests with breeders, verifying if the feature assists them in quickly identifying farms with alert statuses.

After conducting 20 prototype tests with breeders in various industries, the most frequently mentioned feedback from users includes:
- Using a map instead just lists to display the status of each factory area would provide a more intuitive user experience.
- Display only alert parameters and their deviations from recommended values at a glance. Detailed data can be progressively accessed through navigation.
Design Process
Wireframe
Based on feedback from prototype testing, I implement new designs and create wireframes to facilitate discussions with the Dev and BD team, enabling us to review functionality and user experience aspects.

Redesign / Comparison
To provide users with key information at a glance, we have changed the display of warning parameters to show their deviation from normal ranges as bars, while hiding details in the next layer.

Userflow
To ensure a seamless experience for users, from device connection to environmental monitoring, we collaborate with external sensor suppliers to review and discuss each step in the user flow.

Components
The monitoring component is designed to expand gradually, using modularization to address various informations.

Final Design
Gradually display device information.
The final design divided the process into two parts. 1. When a warning appeared, breeders could quickly grasp the real-time alert status. 2. Further clicks revealed the accumulated data and charts.

Onboarding
Quickly introduce key features of the product and guide users to register an account.

Quick Connection
After scanning the QR code and selecting the connection method, users can successfully establish the connection.

Device Settings
Adjustable threshold settings offer users monitoring configurations for different scenarios.
